Did you have consent from the TV show to use it? Sounds like someone from the show flagged it. That happened to my partner when she put some footage she had shot on her website. The footage was on her webserver, so they wrote her a cease and desist letter.

anyone run into this infringement thing?
i got a letter from vimeo saying that a clip was flagged for copyright infringement and they offer no advice, except a bunch of legal mumbojumbo.
i worked on a tv show, made a montage of the graphics, and uploaded it. it featured graphics and footage from the show, but i had a heavy hand in creating the content yet they deactivated my clip unless i wished to take legal action. sounds too intense just for a vimeo clip

anyone had any experience like this w youtube or vimeo?

Hey peeps, Root Society is looking for Visual artists to perform with us at Burning Man 2009.

We have a great visual set up, with a couple large screens, an awesome sound system and a great line-up of DJs. Past guests on the decks have included Jelo, DJ Dan, The Scumfrog, Bassnectar and many others.

We have a theme for this year Neo gothic, and will be looking to fit visual performances into this theme while keeping in mind the overarching theme for Burning Man this year "Evolution". We are looking for experienced VJs to help us blow out the visuals in grand style. We mix from sunset to sunrise from Tuesday through Saturday night, we will have at least one V4 mixer and two DVD players to accompany. (Bring your own gear and plug in, or just bring discs.)

Burning Man is a not for profit event, and thus none of us receive payment, but if you are planning to be at Burning Man and want to jump in and mix a visuals set, please send a demo reel to autostile@hotmail.com Or send us a link to your website. Also, please send us information about styles of music you like to mix with, how long of a set you would like, any special equipment needs and anything else pertinent to performing (in particular your ideas for imagery that fits the Evolution theme), we'll do our best to slot you in !

see you on the playa !

I am new to this realm and have a lot of passion around creating sacred motion graphics for live shows.
Do you think that my clips here would be in demand for vj's? I can easily simplify and loop.

Scratch Video soundtrack with Live performance!!!

http://www.theoppositeoffaith.com/Press_release_DSI_001_01_full.htm

This is likely the last AMV video project Opposite of Faith will do. It is meant to be a demo of the advanced MIDI set up and creative application of the tools we are capable of. We remixed the song ‘Phaseshift’ and created the sound track to it. It feature the combination of the Legendary DJ Quest-one of the founders of modern turntablism, inventor of ‘Hamster Style’ and ‘Power Scratching’

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DJ_Quest

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyaSiUSR8j4

Once again this is a scratch soundtrack-all sound effects were created through DJ performance and/or sound design. Video cuts were done with Serato and any edits or warping were done in Ableton Live and After Effects.

The Dave Smith Instruments Evolver is the master sequencer and controller in this set up. You can see how it works especially during the end solo. Its sequencer sends out MIDI notes to control both Turntables-which are slaved via MIDI-changing their pitch which alters the speed of the turntable platter, This process alters the sound of what ever the turntables are playing and creating a melody matching the Evolvers sequence. The audio signal is also processed on a separate chanels which is brought in through the effects loop. The Ecler Nuo 4 and the Behringer FCB 1010 control parameter (MIDI Control Changes) to give Quest additional control options.

see : http://www.skynoise.net/2008/08/05/skynoise-archives-octapodorgjeanpoole/

Blame it on the Melbourne winter</a>, but recently I’ve embarked on the task of republishing a few hundred odd articles from my former blog, the now defunct octapod.org/jeanpoole, which covered live video, electronic art and music, tasmanian tigers, gangsta rapping physicists and other odds and ends from 2001-2005. Though some are less relevant today, there’s plenty of still interesting interviews amongst it all, and figured if these files already exist on a hard-drive somewhere, that may as well be on a publically accessible one.

Blame it on the Melbourne winter, but recently I’ve embarked on the task of republishing a few hundred odd articles from my former blog, the now defunct octapod.org/jeanpoole, which covered live video, electronic art and music, tasmanian tigers, gangsta rapping physicists and other odds and ends from 2001-2005. Though some are less relevant today, there’s plenty of still interesting interviews amongst it all, and figured if these files already exist on a hard-drive somewhere, that may as well be on a publically accessible one.

Band needs some visual element. We're not much to look at and our music is quirky, sonic and
sometimes abstract, post-rock, indie, garage psychedelia. I figure it'd be worth a shot to see if anyone wants to help us add some flair to the live show.
Doesn't offer any pay. We usually don't even get paid with any more than drink tickets at this point but we're aiming to make that change.
Ideally we'd like someone who is looking to start something and develop their own thing along with us. We're very d.i.y., in our 30's and (gulp) 40's, low-budget and would hope the participation within and you're creative input would be rewarding in itself. .

It would be rad if we could get a VJ for the occasional gig. We mostly play around So. Ca. areas of Long Beach and the south bay (L.A.)
We do have some gigs in Echo Park and Downey. May have some coming up at the Cocaine in downtown and Mr. T's.

Projections of old 1950's Sci-Fi robots and monsters - UFOs, film loops, fractal, etc.
We have some old 8mm home video film that we want to make loops with
if this sounds even remotely interesting to you or someone you know please email
alis.pasha@gmail.com
Thank you

( Meh~! A post I'd have preferred not to have to write - but ... )

Le spam, it attacked.
( see http://www.skynoise.net/2008/04/27/hello-world/
and http://www.google.com.au/search?q=exploit+infect+virus+spam+wordpress )

Site broke.

Time passed.

Eventually had to rebuild site...
and the spam erasure process now means,
http://www.skynoise.net has a new RSS Feed..

( right click on the RSS icon at the site,
or change to this address in your RSS reader of choice..

On the ' Winter of Code' skynoise to-do list :
++++++++++++++++++++++++++

- upload a backlog of videos and documentation ( subscribe-able via rss + itunes etc at http://jeanpoole.blip.tv/ )
- re-jig site design, splash around in CSS
- upload / transfer best-of posts from back-up of ye olde 'octapod.org/jeanpoole' site that was suddenly killed a few years ago...

- track down and find, spammers responsible for the recent wordpress blog hacks, that claimed many victims around the world, including myself. Make a TV gameshow from their slow, prolonged public humiliation..

- wii hammock to final cut / after effects / vdmx / ableton live / quartz render pipeline...
